Creators of Slovenian writing. Kirilo and Methodius - the founders of Slovenian writing

On the 24th of May the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of Saints Cyril and Methodius.

The names of these saints are known to everyone from their schools, and their own mouths, the noses of the Russian language, especially mine, culture, literature.

It is incredible that all European science and culture were born within the monastery walls: the first schools were founded in the monasteries, children were taught literacy, and great libraries were collected. For the illumination of the nations, for the translation of the Gospel, many letters were created. This is how it happened with my Slavic one.

The holy brothers Cyril and Methodius were like the noble and pious family that lived in the Greek town of Thessaloniki. Methodius was a warrior and ruled the Bulgarian principality of the Byzantine Empire. This gave me the opportunity to learn Slovenian language.

You will inevitably lose the secular way of life and accept monasticism in the monastery on Mount Olympus. From his childhood, Kostyantin observed marvelous properties and lost the miraculous illumination from the young Emperor Michael III at the royal court.

Then he accepted monasticism in one of the monasteries on Mount Olympus in Asia Minor.

His brother Kostyantin, who received Kirilo from the monk, was delighted with the great riches and thoroughly mastered all the sciences of his time and riches.

Nezabar the emperor sent both brothers to the Khazarians for the evangelical preaching. As a matter of fact, they settled down in Korsun, where Kostyantin knew the Gospels and the Psalter, written by “Russian writers”, and the people who speak Russian, and began to read and speak with them.

When the brothers turned to Constantinople, the emperor again sent them away from the Enlightenment mission - this time to Moravia. The Moravian prince Rostislav was captured by the German bishops, and they asked the emperor to send readers who could preach to my native Slavs.

The first of the Slavic peoples who converted to Christianity were the Bulgarians. The sister of the Bulgarian prince Bogoris (Boris) was seen as a guarantor in Constantinople. Vaughn was baptized by Theodora and was taken in by the Holy Spirit. Around 860, she turned to Bulgaria and began to deceive her brother until he accepted Christianity. Boris crossed himself, taking the name Mikhailo. Saints Cyrilo and Methodius were in this land and their preaching richly reflected the establishment of Christianity in it. From Bulgaria, the Christian faith expanded to its neighboring Serbia.

For the consecration of the new mission, Kostyantin and Methodius composed a Slovenian abbeta and translated the main liturgical books (Gospel, Apostle, Psalter) into Slavic. It became 863 fate.

Moravia's brothers were adopted from with great honor And they began to read the Divine Service in my Slovenian language. This screamed the wrath of the German bishops, who performed the Latin Divine Service in the Moravian churches, and the stench sent sack to Rome.

Taking from them the relics of St. Clement (Pope of Rome), which they had discovered in Korsun, Kostyantin and Methodius destroyed them to Rome.
Having learned about those brothers who carry holy relics with them, Pope Adrian swears by them and confirms the divine service in Slavic. The brothers translated the books into order in the Roman churches and created the Slavic liturgy.

Saint Methodius wrote his brother’s commandment: having turned to Moravia already in the office of archbishop, he labored here for 15 years. From Moravia, Christianity penetrated to Bohemia during the life of St. Methodius. The Bohemian prince Borivius received holy baptism. His butt was inherited by his squad Lyudmila (who became a martyr) and many others. In the mid-10th century, the Polish prince Mieczyslaw became friends with the Bohemian prince Dombrivka, after which both his subjects accepted the Christian faith.

Over the years, the Slavic peoples, with the help of Latin preachers and German emperors, were thrown out of the Greek Church under the rule of the Pope, at the mercy of the Serbs and Bulgarians. Alas, all Slavs, unimportant at the end of the century, still have a living memory of the great Apostolic educators and the Orthodox faith that they tried to plant among them. The memory of Saints Cyril and Methodius is sacred to serve as a refuge for all Slovenian peoples.

The appearance of writing in Russia is usually associated with the adoption of Christianity by the Russian state. Everyone knows Kirilo and Methodius, the enlighteners of the Slavs, who created the alphabet for the Russian language. Before Cyril and Methodius, as historians say, Russian tribes were not able to write and were painted with runic signs. Abbetka allowed us to read the Bible and the lives of the saints first in Russia, which, obviously, marked the position of Orthodoxy in the region and advanced its status as a means of illumination.

Did the brothers create Cyrillic or Glagolitic?

You can fight, you're definitely in Ancient Rus' there was no writing, but archaeological finds There is no such thing. The monks Kirilo and Methodius developed two versions of the sheet for the Slavic tribes:

  • Cyrillic;
  • Glagolitic.

It is reported that Kirilo, the elder brother, has wrapped the Cyrillic and Slovenian letters, which we use today. Apparently the Cyrillic alphabet was the first Slavic alphabet. It has always been argued that Kirilo, having introduced the Glagolitic alphabet, has a very specific writing system, to understand how modern philologists specialize in ancient Slavic languages.

What do we know about Cyril and Methodius? The evidence and documentary evidence in the “Tale of Bygone Years” and the chronicles of Christian saints have become lost. Brothers, innovators of an era that has long passed, were born in the city of Thessalonica. Their identity is obvious - their father is ethnic Greek, and their mother is most likely Slovenian. This is evidenced by the fact that all the children in the family were inspired by the local Slavic language. Beyond this world there was a rich family - seven whole blues - who lived in abundance and abundance. All children received extra daylight.

Kostyantin (or his name - Kirilo) was especially striking with his flamboyance. The boy, having early taken the path of a Chen and took part in the missionary Russia, converted pagan peoples to Christianity. One of these missions was the Christianization of Bulgaria. Respect that at the time of the end of the last century, the idea of creating a system of Slovenian writing came up. Kirilo took up the work of 862 rock in Moravia for the death of the city prince Rostislav. Rostislav asked the Emperor of Byzantium to send new people to teach his people how to read and write letters.

Slovyanska mova chi latina?

Whether it is necessary to create a written language for the new Christian flock and offer prayers including Latin, Greek and Hebrew - this nutrition was the subject of heated debate at that time. Having drawn a lot of attention to the savings of the canons, aka “The Pope of Rome was reluctant to encourage the enlighteners and called for the creation of Slovenian writing.” Kirilo did not live to complete it, but his brother Methodius jealously continued the development of his abetka. This activity gradually gained momentum, and then assistants appeared in Bulgaria and Croatia.

How did Kirilo and Methodius, the enlighteners of the Slavs, create the abetka? U Western Europe Latin letters are used, and it seems that the Glagolitic alphabet was recently adopted by Russian tribes. There is a hypothesis that Glagolitic is the result of the creativity of the Chinese.

Cyrillic and Slovenian literature were based on the teachings of the brothers. Philologists compared the appearance of the Cyrillic letters with the Slovenian runic signs of the preliterate era - “rices and cuts” - and found similarities, but there is no evidence for the same. I would like to allow the possibility of the offensive of the Slovenian runes.

Abbetka Cyril and Methodia is a priceless gift to the Slovenian tribes and the Russian people. Abetka changed the way of life of Ancient Russia. Culture has become rich in literate people who can read the works of European thinkers in their own way. Christianity replaced pagan religions and united previously divided tribes.

The day of sacredness of Slovenian literature and culture of inseparable connections with Cyril and Methodius - in all Slovenian countries it is marked on the 24th of May.

Cyrilo and Methodius, having created Slavic writing, transferred the liturgical book from Greek to Slavic, including the Apostolic Epistles and the Psalter, the collection of readings from the Gospels, so that the introduction and expansion of Slovenian liturgy was carried out.

Sputnik Georgia reveals short biography Saints Cyril and Methodius, educators of the Slovenians and fighters for the Christian faith, and the history of the creation of Slovenian writing.

Kostyantin - the youngest of his brothers, who, having grown up with Vinyatkov's philological interests, was drawn to science. In Constantinople, the greatest scholars at that time began, the rise of Photius, the future Patriarch of Constantinople.

Having completed his studies, he accepted the rank of priest - he was appointed keeper of the patriarchal library at the Church of Hagia Sophia and contributed philosophy to the school of Constantinople.

Kostyantyn was wise not behind the fates - he changed the debates of the leader of the heretical iconoclasts Annius.

Then we went to brother Methodius to the monastery, where we spent an hour reading and praying. There, he began to learn the Slovenian language, meeting with the Slavic Chens in the monastery.

For the evangelical preaching, the Byzantine emperor sent Cyril and Methodius 857 to the Khazar Kaganate. On the way, huddled at the place of Korsun, the brothers discovered in a miraculous rite the relics of the Hieromartyr Clement, Pope of Rome.

Then, having defeated the Khozarians, Methodius and Kirilo successfully persuaded the Khozarian prince and his relatives to accept Christianity, and also to collect 200 Greek troops.

History of Slovenian writing

Slovenian writing began in the 9th century, and the alphabet itself was formed.

The history of Slovenian writing is as follows: the Moravian prince Rostislav ordered the emperor, after chanting, to translate Christian liturgical books into Slavic language and send readers to Moravia to preach to the native Slavs mine for them.

The Emperor entrusted this mission to Miss Kirilov and Methodia, singing that they would get into trouble with her the best. The Slavic abetka Kirilo enlisted for the help of brother Methodius and the students of Clement, Gorazd, Naum, Savi and Angelyar.

It is fate that the people of Slavic writing respect the 863rd, if the first words were written in Slavic writing. Some chroniclers confirm that these were the words of the Evangelist Ivan: “From the beginning there was (was) the Word, and the Word was before God, and God was the Word.”

After completing the translation of the Gospel, the Psalter and the holy services in Slavic, Cyril and Methodius destroyed Moravia, and began to read the Divine service in Slovenian.

Two alphabets of Slovenian writing were formed - Glagolitic and Cyrillic, and Offended by Vikorist. The Slovenian manuscripts that have been preserved are written in either one or another alphabet.

Alas, the Cyrillic alphabet, because its letters are much simpler than the archaic Glagolitic alphabet, has fallen into disuse.

The creation of Slovenian writing is of little great importance for the cultural and scientific development of the Slovenian people. On the basis of the Cyrillic alphabet, both Russian writing and the writing of other Slovenian peoples developed.

Saint Kirilo died on the 869th - 42 years ago. Before his death, he accepted the scheme (greater stage Orthodox Chernetstvo). The relics of the Saint were placed at the Church of St. Clement, where miracles began to occur from them.

Methodius, who was not elevated to the archbishopric rank after his ordination in Rome, succeeding his brother on the right. He died in 885 - Archbishop Methodius was sung in three languages - Slovenian, Greek and Latin, and was worshiped in the cathedral church of Velegrad.

Cyril and Methodius, for their activity, were canonized a long time ago. Memory of the enlighteners of the Slovaks of Ruska Orthodox Church dates back to the 11th century. The most recent services to the Saints that were performed by the saints date back to the 13th century.

The sanctuary dedicated to the memory of the First Hierarchs Cyril and Methodius at the Russian Church was established in 1863.

It’s melodious, it’s so important to realize your life without electricity. Previously, people wrote and read with candles. And it’s even more difficult to show your life without writing. Maybe someone will think that it would be a miracle if I didn’t have the chance to write dictation, but do it. Otherwise, this time there would be no books, no libraries, no SMS and no e-mail. Like a mirror, the whole world and people’s lives are reflected in it.

Ale people never forgot about it. The mystique of writing evolved long time ago, more than a thousand years. Who knows, who is the creator of the alphabet, the one to whom people owe thanks for such priceless ability. Who, melodiously, repeatedly set meals, who created the alphabet of the Russian language.

Kirilo and Methodius - the creators of the Russian abetka

It seems that two Byzantine brothers lived in the world - Kirilo and Methodius. The bosses themselves created the Russian abet, the stench became the first creators.

Methodius is the eldest son, who took the military route, enlisting in the service of one of the Slovenian regions. His younger brother Kirilo, even in his childhood, had no knowledge of science, and his readers were enemies of his knowledge. At the age of 14, his father sent him to Constantinople, where he was able to acquire a wealth of knowledge in a short term: grammar, geometry, arithmetic, astronomy, medicine, Arabic, Greek, Jewish, Slavic language.

863 Constantinople was taken from Moravia. The stinks arrived with lamentations about the mission of a preacher to the present land to convert the population to Christianity. The emperor has made a decision that the brothers Kirilo and Methodius are about to destroy Moravia. First we hit the road, Kirilo tsked at the Moravians, whose abeth they have. The answer was negative. The Moravians did not have abetka. Brati mali not a lot of time. Kirilo and Methodius worked in the sun from early morning until late in the evening. The first axis he decided to create in the shortest term was a betka for the Moravians, named after his younger brother - a Cyrillic.

Since the creation of the Slovenian Abbet, the brothers had no difficulty in translating the main liturgical books from Greek into Slavic. Now we know who was the first to create the abetka.

What happened next?

After Methodius died in 885, the disciples and successors of the brothers took up the matter. The stench stood from the Slavic church service. Here at this hour the students created another Slavic abetka. Today there is no significance in the fact that the Abbet was crushed by Cyril, and how by his teachings and attackers. It is understood that Kirilo fused the Glagolitic alphabet, after which, on its basis, having broken up the Cyrillic alphabet, it was named after the first creator of the alphabet of the Russian language. It is possible that Kirilo himself took up the refinement of the primary alphabet, and then completed all his studies.

Features

The Russian alphabet was created on the basis of the Cyrillic alphabet, which is a modification of the Greek alphabet. The creators of the Russian alphabet embraced the phonetic features of the Old Slavic language and them 19 letters were introduced before it, which were daily in the walnut leaf.

The originality of the abetka created by Cyril and Methodius was evident in the fact that in order to signify one sound, one letter had to be corrected.

And since the Cyrillic letters were written by writers, they were lived down to the very beginning of a paragraph. The great letter was beautifully painted, so the first row was called “red”, so that it was a beautiful row.

To the first creator of the Russian alphabet, today’s people will listen and write. If it weren’t for brothers Kirilo and Methodius, then they wouldn’t have given us anything.

Kirilo and Methodius know that they created the Old Slavic alphabet, which gave birth to the creation of writing in Ancient Russia. Two brothers were born in Byzantium, or more precisely in Thessalonica.

Saint Cyril and Methodius was on our greatest equal, which never failed to recognize their great merits. Prote Methodius became a military man and created a successful career, giving up the title of strategist. Ale Kirilo has learned the most not from military law, but from linguistics and different languages. Kirilo also studied arithmetic, astronomy and geometry, and learned lessons from the greatest teachers in Constantinople.

Nezabar Kirilo became the keeper of the library at the main temple of Constantinople, and this temple was called “Hagia Sophia.” Having spent a short time as a guardian, Kirilo did not bother and began to do various classes at the university. For all the merits of Kiril, we take away the title of “Philosopher”. The brothers thoroughly knew not only the Greek language, but also the Slovenian language, knowledge of which helped to create a new abetka.

Cyril’s first mission was the “Khazar” mission, when two brothers conquered Khazaria. Methodius was lost in the Fatherland, in Constantinople. In Khazaria, Kirilo learned about religion, trying to persuade the Kagan to change the faith, but nothing happened, and Kirilo turned back to Byzantium.

The main merit of Cyril and Methodius is the creation of the Old Slavic abetka. The change of heart for this purpose was the transfer of the post to Constantinople from Prince Rostislav. They asked to send Rostislav readers who could teach ordinary people the abets and letters, and also expand the new language. After Cyril and Methodius were sent from Constantinople to Moravia, they created the Old Slavonic alphabet and began to translate various church books from Greek into Slavic, so that common people could calmly read these books. Also in Moravia, Kirilo and Methodius began to speak, and began to read and write letters. The brothers translated some other church books into Bulgarian language for the benefit of ordinary people who did not yet know the Old Slavic language.

Option 2

There are few people in our land who have not heard about Cyril and Methodius. The brothers donated the Slavic alphabet and the translation of books from Greek into Slavic.

Letters from that time have been preserved about the life of Cyril and Methodius. The brothers of the people were in Greece near the city of Thessaloniki. The family, besides them, had five more brothers. Father Lev, the Byzantine military leader, having taken a high rank, his family lived in abundance. During the birth of the people, the boys took off the names Mikhailo and Kostyantin, the eldest of them was Mikhailo, 815 birth of the people, Kostyantin was born of the birth of the 827th generation.

Mikhailo chose the military path and rose to the rank of strategist in the Macedonian province. Plivov’s patron, the courtier Feoktist, noted the talented young man and in every way accepted Mikhail’s promotion in the service.

Kostyantin, from early times, became immersed in science, absorbed the traditions of other peoples, and began translating the Gospel into words. In Constantinople, where Kostyantin studied, in addition to linguistics, he acquired knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, rhetoric, astronomy, and philosophy. With his noble becoming and success scientific activity, they prophesied for him service in the most prestigious settlements, but for himself he acquired a modest position as the custodian of books at the library of the St. Sophia Cathedral. Having served in this plant for a short time, Kostyantin begins teaching work at the university. His knowledge of the ability to conduct philosophical discussions earned him the title of Philosopher, as is often found in the chronicles of the lives of brothers.

Kostyantin was at the imperial door and often destroyed other lands under the orders of the Byzantine emperor for the glorification of the Orthodox faith. First of all, he took the preacher away from the 24-year branch. The life of the brothers is described clearly, firmly and in accordance with the dietary pattern of Muslims and Khazars about the Christian faith.

Mikhailo, having served for about 10 years as rector of one of the Slovenian regions, was elevated to the rank of archbishop, in 852 he took monastic vows under the name of Methodius, becoming the rector of the monastery on Lesser Olympus, where in 856 Kostyantin arrived with his studies, and the brothers began.

The church's unification has recently been troubling; in 862, following the orders of the emperor, preachers arrive in Moravia, where for three years they have been engaged in the study of literacy and Christian preaching. During this period, the Psalter, the Apostle, “Writings about the Righteous Faith” and other liturgical texts were translated into Slavic language. The active activity of the brothers did not fall to the same level as the German clergy, who respected the possibilities of organizing Orthodox worship with only three words written in the scriptures; The kingdom was under the rule of Pope Andrian II. The brothers called out to Rome. Having presented the Pope of Rome with part of the relics of Clement I, the preachers withdrew praise for the divine service in Slavic language, Methodius was elevated to the rank of clergyman.

On the cob 869 Kostyantin, on his deathbed, takes monastic vows and takes the name of Kirilo.

After the death of his brother, Methodius continued his dormancy in the office of Archbishop of Moravia and Pannonia. The energetic activity of the archbishop was not befitting a representative of the German church, and in 871 the preacher was arrested and placed in a monastic prison in Nimecchina, deprived of the handing over of Pope John VIII, which allowed three years later and get out of trouble.

Until the end of his life, Methodius did not stop doing translations, the rest would be translation. Old Testament" Methodius died in 885.

Brothers are respected both at the gathering and at the approaching. Russia has 24 herbs in honor of Saints Cyril and Methodius, confirmed by the sacred Slovenian writing and culture.
